Planning Commission Meeting

7:00 P.M.

 

Joe Schumacher called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Commission members present:  Harold Steenbock, Bob Prunty, Patty Ronk, Bonnie Fischer; secretary, and Joe Schumacher.  Orville Nelson, Paul Thome, and Becky Lohrenz were absent. Others attending were Jeff Miles and Amanda Rucinski.

 

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES

Motion by Patty Ronk to approve the minutes as mailed to the Commission members.  Second by Bob Prunty.    Ayes:    Joe Schumacher, Patty Ronk, Bob Prunty, and Harold Steenbock.   Motion carried.

 

Joe Schumacher made a motion to approve the agenda as posted.  Bob Prunty seconded the motion.  Ayes:    Joe Schumacher, Bob Prunty, Patty Ronk, and Harold Steenbock.  Motion carried.

 

Amanda Rucinski, who lives on Pine Crest Lane, came to request a variance to have 6 chickens on their 2.3 acres.  She would have a small coop and a place for compose and no free range.  She had signed letter from her neighbors having no issue about the chickens.  Harold Steenbock made a motion to recommend the board approve the variance and waive the fee.  Bob Prunty seconded the motion.  Ayes:    Joe Schumacher, Bob Prunty, Patty Ronk, and Harold Steenbock.  Motion carried.

 

Jeff Miles came to get an approval on the final plat for Grandview Terrace, but not all to be developed at this time.  There was discussion on the ditching and the use of geogrid and Miles will be responsible for any corrections on ditching until the last lot is sold.  Harold Steenbock made a motion to recommend the board approve the final plat.  Patty Ronk seconded the motion.  Ayes:    Joe Schumacher, Bob Prunty, Patty Ronk, and Harold Steenbock.  Motion carried.

 

The Commission worked on a resolution to require residents in the sanitary district to hook up to the system and then will pass this resolution on to the Stephensville Sanitary District Commission to copy.

 

The Commission also discussed the Act 211 that requires either the clerk or building inspector to report all building inspection permits online to the state.

 

Next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for May 9, 2017 at 7:00 P.M.

Joe Schumacher made a motion to adjourn at 8:30 P.M. Harold Steenbock seconded the motion. 

Ayes:    Joe Schumacher, Bob Prunty, Patty Ronk, and Harold Steenbock.  Motion carried.
