6:30 P.M.

 

Chairman Joe Schumacher called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

 

Board members present: Chairman Joe Schumacher, Supervisor Allen Kaddatz, Supervisor Prunty, Treasurer Sherri Fassbender, and Clerk Bonnie Fischer.  Others that attended were Mr. & Mrs. Fredrick, Harold Steenbock, Earl Conradt, Willard Schuh, and Shannon Loewenhagen.

 

ADOPT AGENDA:

Motion made by Chairman Schumacher to follow the posted agenda.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to accept the minutes as mailed to the Board members, and   Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Willard Schuh came to request a second agricultural driveway off of Laird Road.  Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to approve a second agricultural entrance off of Laird Road for Willard Schuh.  When in use the Board would like warning signs up for other vehicles.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Mike and Jerry Fredrick came to request approval to build a new home next to Farmer’s Park and stay in the present home until new house is complete (then remove the old house).  If they want to reposition the driveway they need to call the county. Motion made by Chairman Schumacher to approve the request of the Fredricks to remove the old house once their new home is approved to live in off of County Road S.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.  There was a question about the location of the fence line between their property and that of the Towns.  Chairman Schumacher said the Town will have someone came and survey the line.

Constable:  No report

Park:  No report

Planning:  went over address for Weyenberg

Fire Department:  Shannon Loewenhagen gave the Board fire runs and requested the Board contact the Sheriff Dept. to parole down town Stepehensville from Thursday nights thru Sunday nights, there is so much racing and noise then.

 

Shannon will get barricades from the County highway and put up and take down for the Voight’s Breakfast on the farm June 11, 2017.

 

HWY Report:  Earl Conradt came to discuss areas of road work and how much the Board was willing to take on this summer, cost wise.  Lots of smear patching needs done, the walking trail in Farmer’s Park to be done, may do Parthie Road, Conrad, or roads in Stephensville.

Harold Steenbock said town needs some more street signs and will add newest fire number signs.  Harold plans to work on the front brakes of the International.  Joe asked if Kevin could clean up glass on Grandview Road between North Road and Immel Road.  Harold plans to have the guys spray and also put wood chips around the trees.  Joe asked if Harold could cut down the three cherry trees by the trail in the park.  Harold reported fire number removed on Timber Trails, Joe will to talk to them.

 

Letter to be sent concerning building permit for a shed, but is also a residence.

 

Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to approve residential entrances into the two lots off of Rock Road by Ivy Creeks Golf Course, when purchased.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

The Board went over the resolution for the sanitary district, and Supervisor Kaddatz wanted more to be added to the resolution. The Clerk will revise the resolution for the next meeting.

 

Motion made by Chairman Schumacher to approve the culvert application for Dan Schroth for an agricultural entrance off Rock Road (by the old Tennie Farm) into his fields.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Need to send a letter to a resident on Rock Road whose culvert was crushed and needs to be replaced. 

 

REVIEW & APPROVAL OF INVOICES:

Motion by Chairman Schumacher to approve the payment of invoices.  Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to sign the approval for Ellington to purchase 2 new voting machines (50% of cost to the County and 50% cost to 4the town) in 2018 along with the counties orders (no finance agreement required).  Chairman Schumacher seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.

 

Next meeting of the Board is scheduled for June 7, 2017 at 6:30 P.M.

 

Treasurer Fassbender gave the financial report.

Motion by Chairman Schumacher to adjourn at 9:05 P.M. and Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion.  Ayes:  Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty.  Motion carried.
