Chairman Joe Schumacher called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
Board members present: Chairman Joe Schumacher, Supervisor Allen Kaddatz, Supervisor Prunty, Treasurer Claire Baumann, and Clerk Bonnie Fischer. Others that attended were Crag Ihde, Tom McHugh, Jerome Kettner, Mr. & Mrs. Peter Weyenberg, Jim Bentle, Harold Steenbock, and Shannon Loewenhagen.
Motion made by Chairman Schumacher to follow the posted agenda. Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
Supervisor Prunty made a motion to accept the minutes as mailed to the Board members, and Supervisor Kaddatz seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
Craig Ihde came to request permission to put a pond on a 40 acre parcel off of Wege Road where Weyenbergs are building a home. The county and the DNR are o.k. with the pond and it would be with 3 to 1 slope for safety and 206’ at widest point. Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to approve the request for a pond. Bob Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried. A pond application is to be submitted by Craig.
Tom McHugh came to have a conditional use permit approved by the Board for the county. Chairman Schumacher made a motion to approve and sign a conditional use permit for McHugh for property off of Rock Road. Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
Fire Department: Jim Bentle said they need to get the title from Town of Greenville for the truck that is being purchased and new license plates. Jim gave the Board minutes from the fire department, fire runs, and accident report for one of the firemen, told the board they think the police dogs scratched their trucks, and plan to cut up the vehicle stored behind the highway garage. The following events they will be involved in: 1. Breakfast on the farm at Steve Voight’s on June 11thand 2. Airport emergency training.
Constable: Shannon Loewenhagen reported on a meeting of constables at Greenville and thinks Ellington should charge $25.00 for dog late fees in place of the current $5.00 fee.
Highway: Harold Steenbock told the board that 2547 Chapel Hill resident’s mailbox is too close the road and 2522 has their fire number on top of their mailbox. The clerk will need to send letters to both residents. The Hwy Dept. plans to work up the Farmer’s Park ball diamond on Wednesdays and Saturdays and do not plan to add more sand at this time. Pot holes need filled now and sweep the intersections and need some chips for in the park. Harold getting mowers fixed up and plans to put old Jacobson in the Riesterer and Schnell sale. Tire recycling is the 19thand 20thof April.
Bob said Nels Lund would like to come to a meeting and explain his trimming of town trees plans.
Discussed the trailer on Manley Road and how the County zoning is going to charge fees and so the town is going to have Jim Emmons work with the County on behalf of the Town.
Supervisor Kaddatz made a motion to approve the bartender license for the Dugout, pending looking up on courts site. Chairman Schumacher seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
Planning Commission: Discussed the Bergmann addition to his shed, will send him to the county first. Signed a special exception permit for Tom McHugh on Rock Road. Met with Stephensville Sanitary commission.

First Responders: no report
The Annual meeting is April 18, 2017, clerk to get a cheese tray, pop, and board members to make bars.
REVIEW & APPROVAL OF INVOICES:
Motion by Chairman Schumacher to approve the payment of invoices. Supervisor Prunty seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
Claire Baumann, treasurer, gave the Financial Report.
Next meeting of the Board is scheduled for April 26, 2017 at 6:30 P.M.
Motion by Chairman Schumacher to adjourn at 9:00 P.M. and Supervisor Kaddatz seconded the motion. Ayes: Schumacher, Kaddatz, and Prunty. Motion carried.
